Rush Hour 3

i went and saw rush hour 3 this evening and as with rush hour 1 and 2, there were lotsa laughs. they are a great duo.

after rush hour 1 and 2, i didn’t go watch the movie for its story line or plots, i went to see jackie chan and chris tucker because they are funny.  and because i want to see some awesome stunts from jackie and just plain martial arts (sorta) without loads of cgi. you don’t get much of these  anymore nowadays. hey, what can i say? i love martial arts in movies…there are exceptions but usually i love them.

no spoilers here but they (jackie and chris) delivered on the laughs and actions. chris was pretty good himself. as always jackie is impressive with his stunts. and he’s in (or approaching) his 50’s.  i did wish jackie’s kung fu scene(s) were longer but oh well i guess i can always rewatch “dragons forever”.

relax and enjoy this movie the way it’s meant to be - funny and entertaining - and you won’t be disappointed. if you’re into something more serious and has a lot of depths, this won’t work. i’m simple-minded so these kind of movies work for me.

btw, one of the new movie previews with clive owen and monica belluci ( i think ) reminded me of chow yun fat in “hard boiled”, or was it “a better tomorrow”? it’s the scene where clive was carrying a baby in a building and shooting his enemies ( i assumed).
