okay, so i’m older in about 3 weeks.

james and i stopped at office depot yesterday because i wanted to get one of those usb adapter for sd memory cards. we were browsing their camera sections and i saw they have the canon powershot a720is on sale for $149.99! imagine that!!! i’ve sorted of kept my eyes on this camera and this the lowest price i’ve seen. it’s 8mp and 6x optical zoom with optical image stabilization.

so i asked james if i can buy the camera and of course for my birthday present…hahahaha he went along with it but not before asking me WHY i need another camera.

truth be told, my sd550 bailed out on me months ago so i haven’t been able to get any macro shots because i don’t have a macro lens for my d40. and with the a720is, unlike the sd series, have full manual controls so you can learn to use your camera which is the whole reason i didn’t look at the sd’s. not only that (it never is), when i need to whip my camera out right away, i need something like this handy although i do LOVE my d40.

naturally, office depot have to “special order” so i should get it in a few days. i’m super duper excited and can’t wait to play with it. in addition to the camera, i picked up the epson r80 for $99.99. what the heck? it’s free after rebate. and i got a digital starter kit free that includes a generic brand camera bag, mini tripod, and cleansing cloth.
